It all started when I was in college. My friends were smoking, and I wanted to look cool as well. Once I got addicted, I never wanted to give up as I was enjoying it for the next 20 years.

Why would I give up what I loved? One cigarette is not going to kill me. Once I realised that health was really bad, and started coughing blood, I was already addicted as I couldn’t give up. It took me a year to figure out the technique, but once I did, I was in the best shape of my life.

I smoked for twenty years. Before I gave up smoking, I was up to two packs a day, and the intake of nicotine was extremely high. Cigarettes were an integral part of my life. I didn’t know how to do anything without smoking. I suffered a lot and thought that I could never have a healthy life, thinking that I might even die of lung cancer. That didn’t deter me. Somehow, I always found a way to block those thoughts and carry on.

I tried all types of nicotine lozenges for almost a year, which led to other side effects. I tried patches for a while, used various nicotine replacement therapy medicines prescribed by doctors, and tried hypnotherapy. None of this worked for me. It’s not that this wouldn’t work for someone else. If others are like me, the pattern of thoughts is what made me want to keep coming back to cigarettes.

I was so addicted to smoking that every 10 minutes, I was smoking, and I would smoke 5 in a row. I would think about smoke all the time. Every opportunity I get, I was smoking. If I were short of money, I would buy cigarettes than food. My kids never saw me as I was hiding in the corner smoking. My wife hated me for my habit. I was on the brink of losing the relationship as I was angry, agitated all the time, and small things would make me angry.

When I had a big fight with my wife and kids saw it, I knew I had to change from that day onwards. It took me another few years with trial and error with nicotine lozenges and various other medicines to pretend that it was under control. I knew I had to do something drastic and re-create myself. It took me few weeks to gather info to try out what I believe would work.

But when I did try the method..it all clicked. I told a few of my friends to try, and it worked on them as well.
